Important information about the ski touring camp
Dates: 27. to 29.12.2024 | 28.02 to 02.03.2025 (Friday to Sunday)
Location: Silvretta Mountains| Overnight stay in the Tuoi Hütte & Silvretta Hütte (only on the second date)
Meeting point: 09:00 a.m. | Vermuntbahn valley station in Partenen
Costs & Booking
Price depends on the number of participants:
- € 360 p.p. (for 6 persons)
- € 420 p.p. (for 5 persons)
- € 510 p.p. (for 4 persons)
Other costs:
- Overnight stay in a hut with half board CHF 65 (approx. € 69) per night for AV members
- Lift approx. € 45

What you can look forward to
- 3-day guided ski tour with the state-certified mountain guide Johannes Pfeifer

- Introduction to ski touring

What you should bring with you
Requirements & prerequisites:
- Downhill runs on varying terrain and in changing snow conditions up to 35 degrees
- Already some ski touring experience and ascent in hairpin bends
- Stamina for walking times of up to 6 hours and approx. 1,200 meters in altitude
Equipment:
- 30-40 L backpack
- Complete avalanche transceiver equipment (shovel, probe, beeps) incl. spare battery
- Hut sleeping bag (can be bought/rented at the hut)
- High tour harness (or climbing gear) and helmet (can be borrowed)
- If available: 2-3 screw carabiners, 2 ropes with 2-3 m
Date 28.02 - 02.-03.2025: The program in detail
Day 1
Tour:
- Meeting point valley station Vermuntbahn
- Equipment check & touring ski issue
- Ascent to the Bielerhöhe + LVS device check
- Ascent to the Sonntagsspitze via the Klostertalhütte
- Downhill
- Crossing over to the Ober Silvretta via the Klosterpass
- Short ascent, then descent to the Silvrettahütte
- Joint conclusion & planning of day 2
Workshop topics: Material check, assessment of the terrain
Day 2
Tour:
- Ascent over the Silvretta glacier to the Silvretta Egghorn (3147m)
- Descent via La Cudera glacier
- Ascent in the direction of Piz Fliana
- Descent past the Piz Buin to the Tuoi hut
- Avalanche exercise and workshop
- Joint conclusion and planning day 3

Day 3
Tour:
- Ascent to the highlight of the crossing: Hintere Jamspitze (3155m)
- Descent towards the Ochsenscharte to the Wiesbadener Hütte
- Toasting the tour together
- Ascent to Bielerhöhe, from there by tunnel cab and Vermuntbahn back to the valley
- Return to the car in the afternoon
