Our long-standing partners "die Kalser Bergführer" take us to another ski mountaineering classic: Grossglockner - the highest mountain in Austria. Since its first ascent in 1800, it has been a symbol of alpinism and attracts numerous mountaineers year after year.
What is important on a winter tour?
Together with the two Kals mountain guides Andreas Hanser and Michael Amraser Servus TV climbs the Grossglockner via the wintery Stüdlgrat ridge in the documentary series "Bergwelten". On this tour, the mountain guides provide an overview of technical procedures, safety measures and the special challenges of a winter ascent.
The documentary also provides an insight into a spectacular rescue mission on the Grossglockner and, together with the team from the "Martin 4" rescue helicopter, shows what is important during a rescue operation in the wintry mountains.
